Faulty Switch Question

I have two switches in my hallway. Only one can be used the other one causes the breaker to trip. Once the breaker has tripped the power does not want to come back on even though I have reset it. I have looked inside the box and can not find wires touching. What else can I try?

Replace the switch that is cause the breaker to trip. I am assuming that both of these switches control the same light (a 3-way switch), so that is what you have to replace it with. Simply turn off the power at the breaker and wire in the new switch EXACTLY like the old one is connected. Should only be 3 wires and possiibly a ground involved.
