Question

I just installed a Hunter ceiling fan everything actually seems to work fine
The box in the ceiling has quite a bit of wiring in it and I wasn't able to get all the wires connected to the fan to go up into the box. They fit nicely in the base of the fan is there a danger in not having the wires all stuffed back up in the box? Does it violate electrical codes?

Cool

You did this correctly. You want to try to keep the main power lead connections (wire nuts and all) in the main box, but the wiring that comes with the fan is generally housed in the fan shroud that covers the box. Hope this helps.
