too much power ...?

i am installing (2) two set of lights in my porch,
i wire the cable lights to the existing kitchen lights >>? .
the first time i repower the breaker went off .!!
so i decide to run 12 hm cable from power box directly to those lights with a 20amp breaker switch
after all that job i turn that breaker on and i see the lights extremely brigths ! and then the breaker went off !and i try a sencond time and it went off againg ...! do i have to much power going to those lights ..any help please ...

You apparently have a problem with your wiring. Get a voltmeter and measure the voltage at the lights. It should be around 120 volts. If the voltage is correct, check the light fixture itself for possible arcing or fault. You are getting a short circuit some place.
Thats the only thiing that would trip the breaker.
