Question wiring a ceiling fan

I'm tring to wire up a fan. I have a friend who wired their's up to a cord and plugged it in to the wall. I have a cord but it only has 2 copper wires. my fan has 2 hot wires black and blue it has to common wires that are white and 2 green ground wires. I want to know how to hook it up. Do i have to use the white common wires. Any help would be great.

Thank you
Dawn

Yuo need to use the white on the one wire, black and blue on the
other.

Be warned that it is probably in violation to wire a ceiling fan
with a cord.

To be legal you must install a box in the ceiling, and get power to that somehow (which is covered in numerous previous posts).
