ceiling fan delapidation

Ok, so I've had this ceiling fan for years. I mean, we're talking maybe 10 years now, or more! This summer, however, there's virtually no breeze comming from this sucker. It's hot here in New York. The humidity is unyeilding. What a time to break down! But anyway, on high speed, it blows like it used to on low speed. On medium and low speeds, it no longer rotates at all as if it were on "off". Is there any maintainance things I could do to revitalize this thing? What, if anything, do you suggest I try or is it boundd for the junkyard?
