No power

When I last attempted to turn on my gas dryer, two things happened: 1, the dryer did not come on and 2, there was a "pop" as if the breaker was tripped. I checked the breaker and it was fine, so assumed that the outlet itself was bad. I have since replaced the outlet and guess what? Still now power.

There are several items tied to the breaker and all but one other light switch work fine.

My questions are: How serious is my problem? and is this something that should be fixed IMMEDIATELY?

Thank you.

I think you might get a better answer if you post this question in the appliances forum.

Check to see if the dryer is on a GFCI. Check all GFCIs you can find and reset them.

I would try to test the outlet you are using to see if it has power, and if not, try to test the voltage at the breaker. You can kind of go from there with what you find
