Three Way Switches and Multiple Fixtures

I have wired a long (100 foot) set of three way switches (power to one switch), but when I hook up three lightbulbs about 30 feet apart the light bulbs are about a third as bright as they should be. When I disconnect two of the fixtures (and reconnect the wires), the first bulb is very bright. Is there a way to solve this problem without running separate wires?.

My simple-minded solution so far is to remove the three 55 watt bulbs and replace them with three 150's. They'll last longer that way, too.

Thanks for your help.

I think your problem is not understanding how to wire the system. I think you have the fixtures in series and that is why they get dimmer as you increase the load. You mentioned taking wires apart. Connecting fixtures does not involve taking circuits or wires apart to hook them up.
Recommend you visit this site where there are diagrams and directions for various ways to hook up a three way system. http://www.futureone/~dan316/mainpage.htm
