Question

to accomdatethe purcahse of a new exletriv dryer. I believe, I need to install a new 30 amp/ 220v line from the panel to the dryer. There is a 110 outlet nearby can that be converted ? The panel is close to the the dryer so installing the new line would not create major access difficulty. How do i install 220 v line and outlet and what materials do I need (breaker type/wire size/ junction box/outlet type)

your help is appreciated

You need a 30 amp double pole breaker to fit your main panel, enough 10/3wg wire to run from main panel to plug location and a 4 wire 30 amp dryer plug. Buy a little extra wire - easy to cut off, hard to stretch.
