Replacing A Light Wsitch With A Light Switch And Plugin Combination

I,M TRYING TO REPLACE AN LIGHT SWITCH WITH A LIGHT SWITCH AND PUGIN COMBINATION. BUBBA

Is the hot and neutral coming into the same box that the switch is in? If so, it will be a easy job. If it isn't, then you'll either have to bring the neutral down from the light or bring a new hot and neutral source to the switch box and disconnect the power the was feeding the light and switch at the light itself.

Or, put another way, is there a white wire attached to the current switch? If the answer is "yes", then you should probably locate your new receptacle somewhere else. If the answer is "no", then it is probably possible as long as this is not a 3-way switch. Post back with more information and we'll go from there.
