Doorbell
My doorbell has a problem. When the button is pressed, all it emits is one ding instead of the conventional ding-dong sound. I took the cover off of it and sure enough there is two plates (for the different notes) in there. Is it possible it is wired incorrectly or maybe the bell itself is bad? I checked and there are two wires hooked to the "front" and "trans" terminals.

Hook wires to back and trans and see what you end up with, (one dong, or two) post back let us know. If it worked before then dab (ding dong). Also there is a plunger that goes up and down that sometimes get full of dust, might try just cleaning out the dust if any at all.
