2nd phoneline with new 3

can i use the excisting phone line in the house for the new 3 or do i need to run a new 1 from the outside box and if so how do i go about doing this

p.s. any chance of shock???

I assume you mean 3 new jacks, not 3 new phone lines.

Yes, you can daisy chain the 3 new jacks to the existing one.

If you're getting new lines from the phone company, you may or may not be able to use the existing cable depending on how many pairs of wires are in it.

Yes, there is a chance of shock. Disconnect the test jack at the NID (the box on the side of your house) before wiring. You'll only get a shock if somebody calls you, but 48 volts will be noticeable.
