"Wet wires"

"Wet wires"
We've had minor water damage in the kitchen, due to water overflowing from the sink in the unit directly above ours(home is a duplex). The water seeped into the light fixture in the ceiling. When the lighting unit was removed, there was some amount of water in the globe and the taped/caped wires were wet. The home is an older one, utilizing BX cable. Do I need to replace the wires coming into the ceiling fixture(corrosion, etc.) or can I just let the wires dry and reconnect to light?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Just open the box like you have,,, maybe bend the wires down a bit so anything will drip out,, let dry,, maybe even put some kind of fan to dry surrounding area,, the drywall and all,,, then reconnect.
