Need to replace the toggle switch on the blower to the fireplace insert. Took apart last year. Don't remember how it gets wired back. Which type of toggle switch do I need, single pole or double? Size? Thanks!

How about a little more information? Where is the switch located? On the insert, or on the wall next to it? Why did you remove it to begin with? How many wires are loose at the switch location?
Reply, and you should be able to get this wired back up before the snow flies!

Wires: black, white and ground. Replacing because wiring came loose when taking front off the grille. Toggle attached to front of grille on insert. Only two wires (no ground) from the motor on the blower. The blower is just a small fan type at the bottom of the insert. Like a Heatolator-type insert. We just need one more season out of it. We had planned on replacing the unit before this winter. That's why I left it apart from last season. Now, we are going to wait until spring to put a new one in because we can't make up our minds on another insert, or do some remodeling and putting in a freestanding unit. So, it's one more year out of this one. Thanks.

You should use a 15 amp rated toggle switch single pole if one speed fan. one of the wires coming from the fan motor connect to the white wire, and the other wire black from the fan motor to the switch and the black of the cable coming from the house to the other side of the switch. Connect the bare to the metal of the equipment, ususally a green grounding screw is supplied.

Good Luck
