Ground Wire

Today i was using a chain saw to cut an old rose bush away from my house so i can get it sided.My meter box is located close to this this bush. After i got done i noticed i had cut through the ground wire halfway between the ground and box.Is this a fire hazard and will the electric company fix it.I still have power in my house.What should i do?

It is a safety hazard and the power company will not fix it. Call an electrician.

I'm building a cabin, and after calculating the load I found that a 125 AMP main panel will be more than sufficient. All the meter bases that I've seen come don't come smaller than 200 amps unless I special order one which are 4x the price. Can I use a 200 amp meter base with a 125 amp panel?:cool:Read More

I just bought some steel stud electrical boxes, but I am unsure about you they should be installed.
