appliance circuits
I've worked out my appliance circuit list, and start some wiring tonight.
So here it is:
Large appliance, 120v
1 20A circuit for the microwave
1 20A circuit for the diskwasher
1 20A circuit for the disposal
1 20A circuit for the refrigerator
1 20A circuit for the stove (ignitor) and vent hood
240v
1 30A 240v circuit for the convection oven
Small appliance, 120v
2 20A small appliance circuits, GFCI protected
I'm wondering if this is overkill. I'm somewhat confused by the requirements to put some appliance items on a separate circuit - such as the disposal, rather than sharing on a circuit with, for example, the microwave.
My reaction to this is to just put everything on its own 20A circuit and I should be safe.
Any thoughts on this, especially where I could consolidate the large appliance circuits?
Thanks,
Tony
