I have two telephone lines in one room with two separate jacks. The second line's jack is connected to the first line's jack by two wires: a white and blue wire that's connected to yellow and a blue wire that's connected to black. How do I run another extension on my second line in another room?

hello dawn,
in your second line jack(1 the blue/white and blue run to) you will find the white and blue wire attached to the red terminal of the jack and the blue wire attached to the green terminal of the jack. takeing your new phone line (unless u r running cat 5 cabel they will probily be red, green, black, yellow)attach 2 wires to the jack on the red and green terminals, and wrap the remaining 2 around the cabel. in the new jack attach the same colored wire you attached to the green terminal in existing jack to the green terminal in new jack, and repeat for the red terminal, again wrap the 2 unused wires around the cabel.
