I am proposing fitting a new dimmer switch to control a total of 240 watts. Can anyone tell me please how to insert the switch into a fused 3 core cable which is currently running along a beam in my cottage.(Does the live get split into one connection and the neutral likewise into the other ?)It only has 2 internal connectors in the dimmer.
