3-way switches

Wiring diagram for two 3-way motion activated light controls for a stairway. Have feed 14-2 at bottom of stairs,14-3 between the top and bottom,14-2 for top of stairs to light fixture. Have tried the wiring standards, but I think the 2 sensors will not work together. Has anyone tried in installing two motion sensors to control one light fixture?

SWitch @bottom of stairs---Black from feed to common screw on switch(different colored screw, usually black) The black wire and red wire from the 14/3 will go to the remaining 2 screws(1 to each screw) The white wires from each cable will be joined together with a wire nut.The bare ground wires from each cable will be wire nutted together with a pigtail to attach to the ground screw on the switch and one to the switch box if it is metal.
Switch @top of stairs-----Black from the light fixture to the common screw. The blackwire and red wire from the 14/3 to the 2 remaining screws.Whites wire nutted together and grounds made up same as the other switch.
