Question Adding Outdoor Outlets

I would like to add 2 or more outdoor outlets to my house. My question is.. Where should I run the new outlets from, fuse box or junction box. These outlets would be used for yard orniments around the holidays and have timers.
Thank you for reading my post,
Jay

Best bet would probably be to run a new circuit from the panel. This way you won't have to worry about your decorations blowing a fuse you're using inside.

However, if you have a lightly loaded underused circuit with excess capacity, and your decorations are not too power-hungry, you could add outlets to existing circuits too.

The only way to know is to do the math. Add up the wattages and compare to the circuit capacity.

But if you are able to add a new circuit, it could save you from headaches in the future.

John,
Thank You for the fast reply. I will check each circuit to find out what is on the line. I should have done that a long time ago...oh well now is a good time.
Thanks again I'm sure I will have more questions in the weeks that follow.
This is a great site So much info on pretty much anything. My hat is off to people like you that take the time to help others in need.
