Conductor sizing for light commercial maintaince building

I asked a question a while back and was told that larger conductors are required for a 200A commercial service than are required for a 200A residential installation. Could someone give me a code reference for this.

NEC Table 310.15 (B)(6) permits a larger ampacity for conductors #4 to 400 MCM (copper) when they are used as Service Conductors for single-phase services for dwellings.

Extending from one breaker box to another

I have one 10/3 wire connected to two 30 amp breakers in my main breaker box. The white is connected to one 30 amp breaker and the black is connected to another 30 amp breaker. The wire apparently was originally connected for 220. I want to run the wire to a second breaker box in my garage and connect the white and black wires to the new breaker box. I then want to install two 30 amp breakers in the new box and run two new wires to outlets in my garage. Will this work or am I missing something. Thanks lgeRead More

Remodling Kitchen. installing a 54 inch wide casement window which will come within 4" of the counter top. That 4" will have a back splash. My Question: It's my understanding I am to have an outlet every 4 ft. (also under the window is our sink which will be 36" wide) How do I install an outlet in this situation or will the inspector let us go more then the 4ft? Doesn't seem like a good idea to have an outlet anyway above the sink. Thanks,Read More
