Ceiling Fan Light Kit
Help!!!! My husband is trying to install a light kit on our ceiling fan and it just wont work. The guy at Lowes said to check the connection up at the ceiling. He did that but to no avail it still wont work. Is there something that we are possibly forgetting to do? (yes we turned it on. 
) At the ceiling the wires are hooked as followed:
Blue/Red Black/Black White/White

It may seem simplistic, but have you verified the wiring with the wiring diagram included with the fan unit?
I am not familiar with your fan but it seems to me from the connections that you specified that something is not getting power.

Maybe the red wire doesn't have power. Is there a wall switch for the light? Is the red wire connected to it in the switch box? Open up the switch box and check. Then make sure the toggle switch on the light unit itself is on. If the light has a remote control, there will be other issues. Use a neon circuit tester to check for power between the red wire and the white wire.
