Main Panel Wiring

I have an Ag. building that I have built. All the wiring is pulled. I want to ensure the main panel is wired correctly. Do you have any step by step information that I can use to ensure it's correctly wired?

This forum is more for "other" wiring, i.e. cable TV, phones, etc.
Please post your question over in the Electrical forum and the pros there will be glad to help you. (And you'll get a much faster answer, too.)

Ground Green Wire Nuts

I asked a question last week regarding crimps for the ground and it was suggested I should use Green Wire Nuts which would be code for tying the ground wires together. I understand you put one ground wire through the hole in the wire nut but what if you need two for example when you have two switches requiring a ground wire to each in the box. Do you just use another 6" jumper secured by the nut so you would have one coming out of the hole in the wire nut and one jumper tied to the other wires secured by the wire nut. Does the one that comes out of the whole in the wire nut have to be 12" as you would have 6" normal in the box then threaded through the whole in the wire nut (asking if it has to be 6" long from the whole in the wire nut.Read More

4 way switch

doing some remodeling. I have a 4 way switch in the living room, which goes to a 4 way switch in the bedroom which goes to the porch light. I would like to take the switch out of the bedroom. can I take the wire from the living room and hook it direcly to the porch light so the four way switch works as a single pole on and off switch, or can I run the 4 wire into a junction box, hook that up to 3 wire and run the 3 wire to the porch light and use the 4 way switch in the living room as a single pole on and off switch? Since it is a older home and due to the ungodly amount of 4 way switches all over the house, it is not practical to start from scratch for the porch light and switch.
