2 way switch
I have a 2 way switch in my kitchen that I replaced with a new one. The top switch controlled a flourescent light over the sink, the bottom turned power on to the dishwasher. It worked fine for a day then quit. I can check the wires on the flourescent fixture and their is power there, but still the light will not go on and obviously no power to the dishwasher.

You say that it worked fine for a day. A day after what? Did you change something? If so, please give us complete details.

The light worked for one day, and the dishwasher worked for one day. The dishwasher had run through a whole wash cycle and I looked at it thinking it was on a dry cycle and noticed the dishwasher looked like it was off, the red light was out on the panel, and the flourescent light was no off, like the power was just gone.
