Light in ceiling fan

My ceiling fan has 3 lights. Two bulbs burn consistently. The third will burn for a while, then turn off. After a few minutes, it may come on again. This pattern may repeat itself.
Is this a wiring problem? How do I proceed to check the wiring? What do I do?

First thing is to turn off the power then Check the fixture for loose connections, you may have one that doesn't make good contact after it gets heated up. Each set of wires that are wirenutted together have to be secure and the coppers all touch one loose will cause problems such as your having.

Sounds as if a wire in the fixture is loose in its connection, which is probably a wire nut.

At the breaker, shut the power off to that circuit, take the housing off the light/fan and check to make sure all the wire connections are tight.
