Question dinning rm. light and bed room recepticle won't work

I recently had a lightning strike very close to my home, and every since then my dinning room light, and an electrical recepticle (non-GFI) in one of bedrooms won't work. None of my circuit breakers in the box in my garage are tripped (just to make sure I cycled them all). What can I do or check?

Thank you,
Rob W.

First, spend $8 on a receptacle tester and plug it into that non-working receptacle. See what it says. That may help a lot.

Double-check to make sure you don't have a GFCI somewhere on this circuit.

Then you may need to examine every electrical box in your house for a fault. This may take an experienced eye.
