how do you rewire a fuse box that has breakers in the house for a dryer and fuses 2 30 amp in the laundry rom

We'll need a more accurate description of the situation.I have the impression you'r referring to a 2-circuit plug-fuse panel in the utility room.30 amp fuses suggest a dryer/hot water-heater circuit.

Add a 60 Amp subpanel

I have a 200 Amp service breaker box. There are four vacant breaker locations on the right hand side at the very bottom of the box. I intend to add a 60 Amp breaker to supply a subpanel for a finished basement, including 240V baseboard heaters. The 200 Amp service should easily handle the added requirements. I have noticed in the main box (and other mains that I have seen) that breakers are usually positioned with the higher Amp breakers on top (near line) and they tend to descend in amperage with the 15 Amps usually located at the bottom. Is this a requirement? or can I just add the 60 Amp breaker at the very bottom? I dread messing with the "spaghetti" at the top of the panel. Rearranging breakers to add the 60 near the top would be a nightmare because the box is already wired with a generator power transfer switch. The vacant four breaker spot at the bottom is relatively clear and is my obvious choice. Any thoughts?Read More

We had a repairman come out and do some remodeling and in the process, he didn't wire the doorbell up correctly at the chime box. I need to know how to do this. Right now there are two wires hooked up, but the doorbell isn't even lighted up.Read More
