if i ran 2 #10 wires to a single source (hot tub install) how many amps would i be good for?

Are you talking about two parallel conductors. This is illegal! Use the 6-gauge wires called for!

darn!

have a lot of #10, no #6. will do it right, did not know. i guess if one wire failed the other would be overloaded?

1/0awg is the smallest size that can be paralleled
