garage door

I'm having a problem with my door openers. They are new this summer, I installed them (replacements). Since they were put in, They both will intermittently not work with one switch device or the other. They both have a wired (indoor) and a wireless (outdoor) transmitter, as well as the car visor transmitters. It doesnt happen every time either. If it doesnt open with the wireless transmitter, then i have to hit the wired trans, and it will open. If it doesnt work with the wired trans, i have to hit the wireless trans and it will open. It is kind of like it has to reset itself with the other transmitter before it will work again. There is also a led light on the wired trans, that will goo out after you press it the first time, then it will come back on obviously after you reset it with the other trans. Any suggestions or advice. I have looked at the wiring and it seems fine. This is driving my wife nuts!!
Thanks alot

You may be dealing with interference in the siganls, or a faulty relay in the controls. how long this has been going on might help in determinating the problem

Did this condition happen right from when you installed the opener last summer or has it just started? Does it seem to be getting worst as time passes or is it about the same? Has any of the hand held devices been banged or dropped just before this started?

Could be a marginally aligned electric eye.

This started happening about 2 months after install. Both of the eyes have the led on so I dont think its the eyes. It does seem to be getting worse. no I dont remember any of the devices being dropped.
Thanks alot

Short of the eye being out of alignment, the only other thing I can think of is a relay that won't let go, causing you to reset the system to clear it. Dirty or oxenized contacts can do this.
