3-way light switch hookup
jocked3411 on Jan 26, 2003Greetings! I have two sets of wires coming out of the wall for a stairway light that can be turned on and off from two different switches (one upstairs and one downstairs). Each set of wires has a ground, a black, and a white wire. My new light fixture has one white, one black, and one ground wire. I forgot to mark the wires before disconnected the old light. Can someone give me some guidance on how to hook up these wires? Thanks! LarryRead More

Hello. I am remodeling a kitchen and replacing an electric cooktop and wall oven with a gas range. I'm not sure what's back there yet, but I assume i have a least 1 and maybe 2, 240 volt circuits I will no longer need. Assuming there is only a red, black and ground for each, Is it acceptable to replace a double breaker with a single and use the red wire as a neutral or do i have to run new wire?Read More
