GFI Recpt.

Can anyone let me in on a secret...on just how to handle hooking up the wires, on the screws that are loose when they are backed out. They are loose to the point of being to push them in and out. My wires were just long enough to connect them up. It was quite a struggle top get the wires in their proper place. The old GFI that I took out had "stationary" screws (which seemed far superior).

On the new style gfci that you have the wires will enter in the back of the device and the screws tighten a clamp down on the wire.This should be easier in your case.

I feel like some sort of idiot for not examining the back of the switch more closely or not getting the instrutions out of the garbage.

ceiling fan light

:confused: We are trying to change a light switch in the light part of a ceiling fan. There are three wires to hook the switch too. One blue, one black, one white. There are three black wiires and three whote wires coming from the light fixture. Each time we have hooked it up it blows the fuse. Help!!!!!

Just a few 2002 NEC Code questions on new residential construction: 1. What single electrical devices are required to have its own dedicated circuit (e.g., refrigerator, stove, etc.). 2. What single electrical devices do you recommend having its own dedicated circuit, from a practicality point of view? 3. Please point me to the relevant sections of the NEC code for the above; I cannot find them!! 4. Does it change the situation if the construction is for apartments, as opposed to house residence?
