Can a Novice fix this Lamp?

I havea 3-way touch lamp that I really like. The house was hit by lightening and took out a tree, a few other things, and the lamp. Is there any way someone who has NO electrical knowledge at all can repair it? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I'd take it to a lamp shop for repair. The electronics are fried. But compare the repair costs to the cost of a new lamp that you would also really like.

does anyone know what electronics actually go into a touch lamp? I'm just curious.

It's triac-driven. Similar to a standard dimmer.
