3-Meter Socket Base? Price!!

I am going to be upgrading the service on a 2-amily home of mine. The upgrade will require the meters to be installed outdoors. Since most of the surrounding homes are 3 family units, I want to install a 3-Meter base for future conversion to a 3 family home.

I have am having several bids on the upgrade but I am pricing materials myself.

I priced SquareD and CutlerHammer panels. $1300-1500!!
Both panels are 200Amp per pos, and are ringless. A 1 Meter Base costs between $150-250.

Can someone guide me in the right direction.

A neighboor down my street did a similar upgrade involving a 3meter base, however his was only $700. He does not know the brand. The difference I noticed with his base is that each meter socket appears to be seperate but like they snap together to form one unit. Does anyone know of this type?

Sorry the above link didn't work-still new at this computer thing. You shoud be able to get that item for around $850-900 for a square d ez-meter pak. You must not be able to get at the right electrical distributor. Shoot me an e-mail and I will send you in the right direction if you would like.

The POCO requires a ringless meterbase, w/ Lever Bypass.

The squareD model I was looking at was EZML313200.

I would prefer the unit to be horizontal. Also if you look at the squareD model above the meter portion is not very wide but there is a huge extension over to the left and it's vertical. Why?

Can anyone suggest a good 3-meter base horizontial? Reasonably priced? I noticed Square D makes a multi-meter setup that is gangable but I only see 2,4,6 combinations not a 3?

Any help is appreciated.
