Electrical Box

I will be sheetrocking my laundry room and am concerned about the electrical box. Are there any codes to consider when enclosing it? I will also be putting in a suspended ceiling.

Thanks

Various clearance requirement are all you have to worry about. You need at least 36" clear space in front of it, clear from floor to ceiling. At least 6'6" of headroom. At least 30" side to side clearance. So that means that you have this virtual box in front of the panel, 36" by 30" by 6'6" that needs to be completely clear.

Other than that, don't hit any wires with your sheetrock screws.

You might want to think about access for adding a new circuit some time in the future. But since you will have good drywalling skills, you can just cut an access hole at that time, if and when it comes.
