Question line VS low voltage recessed

Is there any advantage to using low voltage 4" recessed cans vs line voltage? The price is double. Which method would minimize the dimming that happens when the air cond. starts?

Unless the low voltage lights have an electronic ballast (generally don't), the lights dimming will be the same, since the tranformer is not regulated. Not regulated means that as the input drops, so does the output.
The dimming lights should be delt with as a seperate issue.
When your ready to talk dimming lights from the AC unit, then tell us about the circuits feeding the AC unit and the size/configuration of your electrical service.
Most low voltage lights have more of an accent quality, vs line voltage incandescent have a flood quality.
