Remind me again

How many watts on a 20 amp circuit? Also my stero reciever does not have a watt listing on back , it has 120 v 60 hz 4A. would this be 4 amps. Can it be converted to watts?

formula is ExI=P.
or voltage(E)xAmperage(I)=Wattage(P)

2400 watts on a 20A/120v circuit.
yes that is 4 amps and this = 480w.

yes, it means 4 amps. To convert to watts take volts times amps... 4x120=480watts

Keep the wattage of continous loads below 1920 watts (120*20*.8)
