GFCI and refridgerator

I want to install a GFCI at the start of a run of 3 outlets. The start is on a countertop and the end outlet is the refrigerator.
Is there any problem with this??

GfCI's and fridges don't really make a good combination. If the receptacle trips and no one is around to spot it there may be a lot of food lost. Also I have found in the past older fridges do tend to trip the GFCI's much more the newer ones.

If you have 3 receptacles and want to protect the first two in the line you will need to install a seperate GFI receptacle in each of the first two locations. Pigtail the wires and connect them to the "line" side screws only. You will not be using the "load" screws on the GFI receptacles. You will have two protected outlets that can trip without interfering with your fridge.
