ceiling flourscent light sockets

ceiling flourscent light sockets
While trying to replace the flourscent bulb in my kitchen ceiling light, I broke one of the plastic sockets that the bulbs fit into. I went to the store and bought a new one, but the holes that the wires fit into are different (4 holes in a line on the new one vs 4 holes--2 top and 2 bottom--on the old one). Not only do I not know which holes the 2 red wires go into, when I try to put the wires in to try it, they snap in and I can't get them back out. So can anyone tell me which holes the wires go into and how I can get the wires out if I've put them in the wrong holes. Thanks!

I beleive you would put one red wire on the outside hole and the other red wire to the other outside hole. What you are doing is outting one wire to each of the pins in the holder. You should be able to push a small screw driver into the slot to push down the sring holding the wire and pull the wire out.
