Garage Door Remote Control
My garage door remote control no longer works and I dont know what to do. Install a new garage opener? At first, I thought it ran out of battery. But it still didnt work after I put in the new one. Because the light on the remote control did come on when I pushed the button, it's probably the receiver that is not working. BTW, The wall-mounted control still works fine. I wonder if there is a generic remote control for garage opener? and how it works? Thanks in advance.

You made just need to reprogram it. Not sure of the model , but most can be reprogramed just by shutting the power off at the same time you hold the remote button down then turning power back on.

I opened the remote control and the third time I found out that the welds that secured two tiny metal prongs (wire) of a small block to the circuit board came loose. I welded them back and it works fine now. Thanks anyway.
