Question wiring a spa that requires a 4 wire hook-up

My old spa worked from two 220 (3 wire lines)lines. One line operated the contol box which operated everything except the heater. The othe line supplied the heater. The new nu wave unit calls for a 4 wire hook up. All accessaries operate from this one box Question: How can I hook up a 4 wire unit with a 3 wire supply.

You can't. You need to pull a new cable.

We need to know the exact ratings in amps of the existing Branch-Circuits and the exact voltage/current specifications of the new Spa/Hot-Tub. The "forth" wire is an Equiptment Grounding Conductor which the existing Wiring-Method between the Out-door location and the Service panel may or may not have.

IF there is an existing 220/110 volt 60 amp cable from the Service that contains a bare EGC and the rating of the new Spa/Hot-Tub is 60 amps or less, then it's possible you can utilize the existing Branch-Circuit cable.----Good Luck!!!!
