Gfi

Hi;
I would like to install a GFI in my bathroom.At present there is no outlet of any kind in this room. I have access to the attic above the bathroom. I have a GFI in another bathroom and the wire to it is above this room. The only thing on this circuit is the existing GFI.Can i splice into this circuit and have two GFI'S on it. I live in
Delaware if it is a code problem. thanks
Ron

Assuming your analysis is correct, then the answer is yes. You will need to install a permanently accessible junction box in your attic -- actually you will probably need two boxes and some extra cable unless this cable has a lot of slack. You would need to use a GFCI receptacle in the second bathroom. Make sure you use 12-gauge wire if this is a 20-amp circuit.
