Unhappy Track light wiring problem...Help

A friend of mine gave me some track lighting, and I wanted to just ad a end connector with a cord and switch to the track because I have no ceiling wiring. Anyways I bought the wrong one. The end connector that is all ready on there has 3 copper screw holes where you attach the wires. I don't know where any of the wires are supposed to go. The new one has a copper and a silver screw hole where the wires are connected. I was hoping to just take the new end connectors wiring out and put them in the old end connector. Is this at all possible? If so, where and how do I connect the wires on the old one?
Lost and confused

You've about got me "lost and confused". I think all you have to do is loosen the set screw on your existing "live end" piece and pull it out of the track. Your new live end / cord (with switch) should just plug into the same location. You need to put in a couple of swag hooks to hold the cord along the ceiling. There shouldn't be any wiring involved at all.
