photo eye wiring problem

I am trying to hookup a dusk to dawn photoeye to 2 coachlites. The problem is I don't have access to the left side coachlite black &wht wires; however, the pwr wire for the left side coachlite does run overr to the right side. Is there someway to get both coachlites to work with one photoeye? The wiring for the photoeye has the blck to blck pwr, red to black coachlite wires and wht to all wht.

Also, can anyone recommend a brand of photoeye that can be easily tested to see if wired right by going on and/or off? The kind I bought had a time delay after I hooked it up to the pwr and could not readily be tested.

Thanks for any and all help!

If you put the photoeye in the power feed before it gets to the first light, it will control both lights. So if you can trace it down as power-L1-L2, just put it before L1.

To test it, just put some black tape over the eye and wait ten minutes.

Either locate the eye at the right light, or in a location
more suitable for proper operation of the eye, Run the power to the eye location, and the two lights off that (or power to eye, to right light, to left light.).
