rv power

I have a 5th wheel that I have put on my lot. I run power from next door and am now using a 15 amp plug. I want to run a 120 volt 30 amp line to the trailer. I have 12 guage wire installed now and am not sure if all I need to do is install a 30 amp fuse to do this??

12-gauge wire is too small for 30 amps. You need 10-gauge copper. And you cannot put ordinary receptacles and switches on a 30-amp line. You can only put 30-amp receptacles on a 30-amp line. Does your 5th wheel have a 30-amp 120-volt plug?

Do you maybe want a 20-amp breaker instead?

The rv has a 120 30 amp converter. It has a 30 amp plug and now I am using a converter to plug it in to a regular 15 amp plug
I only need to 30 amp if I want to run my air in the summer so a 20 amp would work. It is mainly so my lights don't dim when I run my coffee or microwave.

Dimming lights are the result of too small of wire, not too small of breaker.
