I have refinished my basement and I installed a dimmer switch at the top of the stairs. From that I ran 12-2 to a junction box, I recoded the neutral, connected to a track lighting transformer and the from there went on to another junction box for a lamp, Keeping the neutral recoded for hot it is then run into an outlet. I have dimmer contraol for both lights but they seem to have little power. There is only two outlets on this 20 amp circuit and there is a total of 400 watts of light from the bulbs. Can anyone explain this? Thank you.

To marcerrin: I am using the neutral from the transformer connected to the neutral from the wire running to the lamp thats next on the run, then its running to the outlet.
to Bazooka227: What does that mean that I am running in a series and not parallel? How do I fix this? Do I need to? Do I need to recode at all? I have a wiring book and it didnt have a diagram for running two lights off one switch and it says for running one light with the light at the begginning of the run and the switch at the end to recode the neutral. Any advice would be appreciated Thank you guys so much for responding.
