Garbage Disposal, Dishwasher & Light Fixtures Circuits ? Which Way To Go!

I am completely remodeling my kitchen and have to make some choices about the circuits. I have two circuits available for the garbage disposal, dishwasher, and the light fixtures. Initially, I thought of having a dedicated 20 amp circuit for the DW, and one 20 amp circuit for the garbage disposal shared with light fixtures (9 in all) and a ceiling fan. An electrician suggested instead using one circuit for both the garbage disposal & DW and use the other circuit for the light fixtures. Which one would be better?

Thanks in advance.

Place the disposal and dishwasher together and the lights on the other circuit.

I agree with pdesiato. But if you are completely remodeling your kitchen, you should not be making this compromise. Find a third circuit. You can do it!

I agree with John, try to squeeze another circuit in.
