baseboard heater + outlet

I'm installing a 2000 watt baseboard heater on a 240v, 20A circuit. Since I can't install receptacles above the heater, I'd like to use the optional add-on receptacle that goes on the end of the heater. Will this receptacle be wired into the same circuit as the heater itself? Or do I need to connect it to the room's general 120v, 20A circuit?

Read the instructions that came with the baseboard heater. If they don't specifically say that an outlet is NOT allowed above the heater, it is allowed. The instructions will also tell you how to wire the outlet.

Straight Pipe on Ceiling Lamp Too Long

I am installing a new light fixture in my dining room, but the pipe that the bracket is attached to is to long to fit into the ceiling light socket. Is there any way of shortening the pipe? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Ceiling Fan Replacement Switch

Purchased a replacement 3-speed fan switch for an Emerson ceiling fan. The new Fantec No. 21105 switch has 4 "insert wire" type connections. The four are marked L, 1, 2, and 3. The old switch has 3 wires coming from it: Black, Blue and Red. How do I match the colors to the new positions?? Thanks.
