Ty-Raps and Romex

Will Code allow the use of Ty-Raps to neaten a bundle of Romex?

Yes, but bundling more than four cables is going to cause other problems. Sometimes neatness is bad. In this case bundling too many wires in the name of neatness causes excessive heat buildup.

3M sells a romex rack, nails onto your joists or studs and up to 5 romex cables snap onto it with appropriate separation so you do not get heat buildup and have to derate your conductors. Makes for a very neat installation.

Careful, even if you don't have any derating issues, cables are not allowed to support other cables. You will still need code required support for each cable even if you tie wrap them together.
