I did a search again last night and found a few sites where they were working on one, but no one had and schematics.

You might be right mike, that may be the easiest way.

I don't want this to be a REAL timing tree just for looks and the looks from people seeing it on my porch at christmas time,lol.

I guess maybe i could build a base to house the controller and run all the flood light bulb wires down the back side of the post down to the inside of the base and plug in using regular 110 outlet type male plugs.

what do you think about that?

That's what I would do. I would also verify that the controller can program the sequence you want - maybe describe the sequence and email the manufacturer? Also maybe you can find the unit at a retailer like Guitar Center or Sam Ash Music and can actually look at the manual...
