Question flourescent light problem

I recently installed a two lamp flourescent fixture to three existing one lamp flourescent fixtures, Along with an in wall 7 day swicth timer. I am now having problems with one of the one lamp fixtures. For some reason it wont come on unless you touch the lamp or unplug the lamp and plug it back in. This is the lamp that i grabbed the switch leg and neutral off of to install the new two lamper. I tried everything eliminating the two lamper to see if it was drawing to much current but the same problem occured. I even swapped locations between the two lamper and the one thats giving trouble and the same problem still happened. I have never seen anything like this before it is very wierd. Before i go and replace the lamp is there anybody out there that can give me some advice?????

Could be a weak lamp try changing it with one you know works. But from past experiance if you have to touch the lamp to get it to light check your grounding at that fixture. Just some sugguestions

Things to check:
1. Is the fixture well grounded?
2. Is the dimmer specifically labeled as suitable for fluorescent lighting?
3. Is the ballast specifically labeled as suitable for dimming?
