Ceiling fan

Ok, I am frustrated. I am hanging a ceiling fan and need help on what wires are to be connected. I am talking specifically about the wires going to the box in the ceiling. First of all it is an older home. There are 8 wires coming into the box- 4 pairs of black and white wires, each with a ground. I have identified 1 black wire that is hot.
-1 set of wires go to a switch on the wall
-2 set of wires go to 2 outlets in the room
-1 set of wires are the pair with the black (hot) wire

How do I connect these together? Like, what colors from what location connect to eachother? Please help! Thanks

Connect the black hot, the black to the outlets and the white to the switch together.
Connect all the rest of the white and the white from the fan/light together.
Connect the black from the switch to the black from the fan/light.
At the switch connect the black and white to the 2 scews of the switch.
Mark the white to the switch at both ends with black tape or a marker.
Connect all the grounds/greens together and to the boxes if they are metal.
